The VFW was Proud to support the Roanoke Valley Community Christmas Store. Presenting a Check for $7500.00 was Trustees. Nolan Jackson and Commander Cecil McWilliams. The VFW supports Veterans and our Community. We had a Pleasant Surprise when the First Bank and Trust Company stopped by and made a $120.00 donations to the VFW Post 1264. A Good time was had by all during our Memorial Day Celebration at the Post. The Food was good, a lot of laughter but the reason we have Memorial Day was always remembered. This past Tuesday, 11 May, William Fleming High School, JROTC Unit held its award ceremony. Ashton Hicks was awarded a $2000.00 Scholarship Check presented by Post Commander Cecil McWilliams.
Congratulations to Kroger's , Store 325 for being selected as VFW Post 1264 Community Service Award. Accepting the award is Store Manager James Yaitanes, presented by Post Commander Cecil McWilliams. Congratulations to Eric Hagee being selected as VFW Post 1264 member of the year. It took awhile to locate a Bench and it had to be painted but its finally finished. A special thanks goes to Randy for helping to locate and painting it and Chris for installing it. Several other people were actively involved and thanks to all. He will be attending High Point University to study Journalism. Eric Hagee delivered American Flags to the Boy Scouts from the VFW. The VFW was Proud to present a Generous Check to the Little Wishes Fund and Grace in the Gap on 10 Feb 21. our Winners for Voice of Democracy (Ava Grace Hagee) and Patriots Pen (Lincoln A Kellerman. Both took 1st place at our Post and both took 2nd place at the District level. This was a Joint Effort with the VFW Post 1264, VFW Post 1264 Auxiliary,  Last Stop Lounge,  Second Alarm,  Thunderbird Club and Mr John Parnell. It was a Special Day Yesterday when we Delivered approximately 26 5 gallon bucket of Pull Tabs to the Ronald McDonald House. This was a Joint Effort with the VFW Post 1264, VFW Post 1264 Auxiliary,  Last Stop Lounge,  Second Alarm,  Thunderbird Club and Mr John Parnell. Presenting the Award is Mark Shelton who runs the Buddy Check Program and a member of Post 1264 and Cecil McWilliams,  Post Commander. I had the Extreme Pleasure of Presenting the VFW Post 1264 Community Service Award to the Last Stop Lounge.  Accepting the award is none other than Bonnie Blake,  owner of the Last Stop Lounge. The Good Samaritan Hospice for their Visiting the Farm
 

New Freedom Farm is located just a few miles off of Interstate 81 in Buchanan, Virginia. Our address is 6118 Lithia Road, Buchanan, VA 24066. The farm is private property – outside of our general operating hours, the farm is closed. We reserve the right to refuse admission to any persons for any reason.

Due to COVID-19, we are open by appointment only. We are open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., not including holidays or during special events. All upcoming events have been cancelled until further notice.
